Mill/Turn Noob!

Helloooooooooo....,

Mill/Turn Noob here. Still successfully programming the machine however. (Haas ST20Y)

How do I get Fusion360 to post a G112? I want to use G41/G42 cutter comp when Axial Milling. I have simply used an X offset but I don't want that as the permanent solution.

Thank you all and have a great day!

Allan

cutter comp.jpg

i do believe

edit: doesnt seem to work on lathe, but does on mill... not sure if its a bug or if it just isnt compatible but I would think it would work? just alter your tool diameter or enable negative stock to leave to comp that way.

(if your hole or whatever is too small, make your tool smaller, or add negative stock) depending on what you are doing will determine if you want to split the difference in size or leave as is. maybe scroll over on the controller and change your live tool wear. im in the middle of a long program otherwise i would try it. theres been plenty of times ive wanted to use wear/cutter comp but i always end up just increasing my negative stock to leave (more often on threadmilling)

When I turn Wear comp on like in a mill I get:

Error: Radius compensation is not supported for operation "Finish Oval ID". You have to use G112 mode for radius compensation.

You have to enable "use polar interpolation" into the post processor properties as shown in the screenshot.

Fusion still doesn't post the D value even when Wear Comp is on.
