Mill/turn a single slot

Hello,

I'm new to using fusion for CAM. I've only ever programmed my CNCs manually and am trying some basic models I have to get a bit of experience before moving onto more complex stuff...

I'm trying to mill 6 slots down the length of my turned part. I have a ball nosed cutter that can mill each slot in 1 pass. Can I get the software to machine each slot with one pass? The best I can get is to use the rotary parallel wizard to mill around the entire circumference of the part, wasting a lot of time and code...

I have already machined the OD and some grooves that the slots pass through, but I don't think that should affect it.

Thanks in advance

You should be able to do that with either tthe 2D Contour or Trace, simply toolpath one slot and then use a rotary pattern for the number of slots need around the part, you can find the rotary pattern option by right click on the toolpath and from the list select "Add a Pattern" and choose the rotary option, set the number of time you need to repeat the slot and the part will be indexed to each position and the slot will be cut.

If you can upload your Fusion f3d file by going to :-

File > Export > Select f3d format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach to your reply.
