Mfg EXT. Toolpath Trimmng - "Toolpath has no sections" error

Hey All,

We have used Toolpath Trimming lots the last few weeks with no issues until this week or last F360 update.

We can use toolpath trimming, it shows a trimmed toolpath, but can not simulate or post process the toolpath.

Experienced this on parallel, 3d contour, Flow, and Steep and Shallow.

Is there a fix for this Autodesk?  We have new Mfg Ext client subscribers running in to this issue.

Hey Kevin,

Do you have any sample files you can share with us? I'm not aware that this is a known issue, and I don't recall seeing any dialog internally

Hey Seth,

I just had a chance to do some further toolpath trim testing.

It would appear that when you place a toolpath and its it's duplicate with a toolpath trim inside of a toolpath folder, it breaks it on both toolpath samples.   When trying to simulate or post the original parallel and its duplicated parallel that has toolpath trim applied, both will not simulate or post process. It throws a warning, " Toolpath has no sections".

I tested this on Steep and Shallow and Parallel.  Please dig in to this further as it appears to be defiantly a bug of some sorts possibly caused with last F360 update.

Please escalate. @seth.madore

Please see attached sample file.

Thanks Seth.

Please keep me posted on this as we have several clients that just
purchased Mfg Extensions and this identified problem will only grow bigger
as more begin to utilize toolpath trimming.

This is logged as CAM-23288. For the meanwhile, it appears the only workaround is to not use Folders. Sucks, I know...

The dev team have identified and solved the problem areas. I'm not sure when the fix will be released, but we are closer than we were.

Hi Seth,

I reopened my test fle and all toolpaths and trimmed toolpaths seem to
simulate and post correctly as expected.

Thank you Autodesk for getting this issue resolved so quickly.
