Manual tool changes

Can someone explain and maybe give  a written example of how i can setup a manual tool change in Fusion360 CAM.

I need to go to a predetermined change location, optional stop, allow me to change tools then resume on my mill using linuxCnC.

The same process would be useful posting to GRBL, for a router, but would also need  it to allow me to set tool offset during the opt stopthen resume, not sure that is possible.

You Can add a manual NC  between the operation Changes the option is in the setup like the image shows below

And if you want to use different length offset means then edit the tool change the length offset no to your need and then post everything it will do your job

Okay that helps some! I couldnt find optional stop.

I cant  use tool offsets on the router as i dont have fixed toolholders, just collets. was hoping i could set offset during an opt stop then resume. Doesnt seem likely thouugh. This will work for the mill.

It should be there, Did you check the preference tab to enable the show manual NC operations like this one below

Still if you couldn't find optional stop then if you find pass through command you can use that also 

you can manually enter M01 in the comment itself it will post you the code you enter

It needs some post processor work though it is simple and it is already well described please follow the below link

you can use pass through option also but optional stop should be there.

just check with the preference
