@Anonymous

I'm sure it can be compatible.  Just because there is no post available on the post site does not mean another cannot be used to drive those machines.

My best suggestion is to upload some sample code and find a post similar and either modify it yourself or find a reseller who can for you at a cost.

Ask them for a programming manual and some sample code. With that information, we should be able to recommend you a post processor that would serve as a good starting point for modification (if needed)

I'd reach out to the manufacturer directly, not the prior owner. Did the machine have any programs stored in the controller?

The manufacturer is not willing to give you some guidance?! That's insane.

Did it come with any manuals?

Yes I no they said they supply Vcarve but we have to get in touch with auto desk to get a post of them the manual is very brief .what would I need to look for ?

the machine all works with Vcarve  it’s just I need fusion to work as it does more 3D and a better program for me

Do you have a demo version of Vcarve and a post processor that works for your machine? Generate some code for your machine and attach it as a .txt or .nc file here, we should be able to get you sorted out

Hi @stephen.brindle

I just reviewed your sample code.  It looks to be very basic G & M code.  I would probably start with the generic Fanuc post from the Fusion 360 post library

The only code I am not sure of in your file you shared is the M60 for that particular machine.  I've ran machines where an M60 executes a pallet change and some machines where is it for unlocking a 4th axis.  What ever that command is for, a small post modification is most likely required.

Start with the Fanuc post and see how everything reacts.  I'd start with really simple operations and seeing what works and what doesn't before throwing more complex operations in the mix.  You should be real close.

This is likely caused by the G28 codes that exist at the beginning and end of the program.

I'd try the RS-274D post processor (or Mach3 post processor) and set it to this:

hi thanks for your answer do you think the Mach 3 one would work as I am use to mach3 soft wear  would this effect the tool changer or is that on the ManTech side (driver soft wear) I don't think this is the right word sorry

The Mach3 post processor does have support for a tool changer, or you can disable that if your machine does not have one. Both of those post processors would give you the option to use Clearance Height
