Machining Weld on Die Cast Mold

Hi,

I'm trying to machine some weld on a die cast mold that needed repaired and we typically use the old PRO E to program it but we want to try to use Fusion as we are trying to convert fully over to it.

         I tried drawing some squares around the mold where weld is laid so I can try selecting the boxes to machine within but it seemed to not recognize the model or something because when I ran it in the machine it just gouged in the part.  Most likely I'm doing something wrong. I got my model attached below if someone's got time to take a look it and see if they can correct it that would be great!

Thanks!

@ebwestgerdes

Go into Design and add some material to the Model for the Welds as they actually exist (As close as possible) and then Fusion will have something to cut 🙂 🙂

Well, that doesn't answer to the gouging the OP has run into 😞
@ebwestgerdes can you share a photo of where it gouged?

Is your WCS at the machine the same as what's in the file? It looks to be center of X/Y, but the top of the round bosses for the Z. If it was set to the flat face (at machine), this would account for the error, as it would be lower than it was programmed for
