Machining fillets

Hi, I am trying to machine two fillets on reclaimed Mahogany using the contour command but I cannot seem to be able to select just the  fillets, it selects the whole part. I haven't enough material to make the part oversize so the part is cut to the exact measurements. any help or advice would be appreciated

Can you File>Export>*.f3d and attach you file to see what you are talking about. You can only pick an edge/line for contours so I am not sure what you mean by "whole part".

Hi @Pylonbob ,

If this is for a 2D  contour you can select a single section of the contour by holding Alt on the keyboard before clicking, or alternatively if you select the whole contour you can then click on this again to go into edit mode, in which you'll then be able to set it to an open contour allowing you to select only the fillet. I've attached a video showing both of these methods.

Or if this is for a 3D Contour you'll want to change the Machining Boundary to Selection and then pick the two edges of the fillet.

Hope this helps, thanks

Hi, thanks for your reply, sorry, maybe the mention of a contour was misleading. I just wanted to know if there is any way in Fusion to just round off two corners to the full depth of the part, except for the two Fillets the part is the exact size that I need and yes the contour wants to go round the whole piece.

Hi @Pylonbob ,

OK it looks like you just want to use a 2D Contour toolpath and select the bottom edge of your part to select that whole contour then. I've put that on your project and re-uploaded, is this what you were after?

Thanks,

Thanks for your swift reply,  yes this is just what I wanted. I have done many full contours but never a partial like this before, so simple but so frustrating if you don't know the answer.

Thanks again for your help, Bob,
