Live Measurement not working because there are no supported machines?

In the latest version of Fusion 360 it is not physically possible to begin the live measurement because there are no supported CNC machines with inspection capabilities and you cant create your own as well.

Is there a work-around for this or is the function basically disabled at this point?

I tried downgrading the Fusion 360 version as well but I found that it is also impossible at this point.

Hi @sandersaluste,

Live Connection is currently under development for receiving inspection result in real time from the machine controller. 

It needs a special post processor and another .exe called a machine connector. 

While the delivery mechanism for these and the final development and testing is going on this piece of functionality is still being kept under preview. 

"Why put it in preview if you don't want me to use it" I hear you ask, the main intention of preview functionality is for you to try and see what we are working on. So yes we actively encourage people to normally use preview functionality, with caution of course. However in this case because of the additional requirements it was put in preview so a select few customer and machine tool vendors could access it for testing. 

Keep your eyes peeled for updates though when it makes it into the product fully released.

I have the haas inspection post processor but where can I get the machine connector file?

Unfortunately I cant say times so this will have to be a very carefully worded reply. 

Currently we can only release the machine connectors to the machine tool vendors they belong to, we are finalising all the legal approval as some of these connectors contain the vendors SDK. I try to stay out of the legal side of it but it is a process we need to go through before public release.

Again sorry I can be specific with time scales but we are definitely coming towards the end of the process of releasing this now. 
I'll be making the normal tutorials around it when we come to fully release so you can follow and get up and running.
