Line Offset contour

Hello All,

Please excuse my pixel art but I need the line that the arrow is pointing at offset by .002. The measurement that i am reading states I need to cut .002 more off of the face the line is contouring. Unfortunately, I do not know how to make it cut .002 on that line only. It doesn't need to cut anymore on the other lines in the chain just that specific section.

Are these edges where they need to be, or do you have tolerance that you can work with?

If you have tolerance, and these edges are aligned to X or Y axis, I'd be tempted to just shift my work offset at the machine. Otherwise, you're going to need to either create a sketch to drive the tool, or modify the model to offset that face back the appropriate amount, regenerate and repost your code.

How are you handling the square internal corners?

Ah, I see Seth has already posted, yes, my solution would also have been to just move that face on your Model the desired amount. 🙂

Unfortunately I don't have much tolerance and I designed the part. It is a fixture for rectangular parts that need to be turned. I'll edit that face to be .002 further from center line. For futures sake. There's no way I can just select that line and offset it in the direction I need it to go?

Well, yeah, but not also include all the surrounding contours. It would be a 2D Contour, that edge alone is selected (ALT+select) and reduce the Start/End extensions to prevent gouging from the lead-in/out moves.
