LH Lathe Thread Cutting

Hi all

This is probably a question for the Fusion Software Team.....

Never had to CNC machine an OD LH thread before, initially did massively overthink it with upside down tools and reverse spindle rotation etc...  But was surprised in Fusion it is actually very simple, just select LH threading, and the tool leads in from the left rather than the right. This does of course mean the tool is plunging into the stock, this didn't seem to be a problem, but one issue I think I spotted is the 'fade out thread' function doesn't now work.  It still applies this to the 'end' of the tread, which for a LH thread is now on the right for this tool path.  Would it be possible to apply this to the start of the thread?

Thanks.
Andy

That's a good point. I've done a few LH threads on my Lynx, but it was always into undercut starts so I never picked up on that. I'll pass this info along
