Lathe tool appears to be upside down

I am new to lathe setups in Fusion 360 and am stumped by this. I'm told my G-Code is usable and the machine will run fine, but I am troubled that the tool appears upside down (photo below of a facing toolpath).

The chuck will be spinning clockwise (when looking towards the chuck from the tailstock), and the cutting face of the tooling will be facing up.

I hope this makes sense. Is there any way to fix this? I've tried changing the direction of the tool (first photo below), and it messes everything up (second photo below). When I change the direction the same facing operation looks like a roughing operation.

I hope there is a way to fix this. Although the tool paths are usable, I don't like that the visual is incorrect.

Thank you in advance!

@mctracz currently cutting simulation is machine-agnostic for lathes. Once full machine simulation is implemented for lathes (and it is being actively worked on), you will be able to see your tools oriented as they would appear on your specific machine.

@mctracz

Not sure if the short video is of any help to you but I think that all you need do to have the simulation looking a bit more like your Lathe is change the Setup Orientation and the Left/Right Hand tool if needed, in the video I deliberately used an offset tool so it was maybe a little clearer, anyway have a look at the video and the attached file, the G Code looks OK but I don`t know just what code your machine uses/needs so that may be way off for you.

If it is not what you like to do then let the Forum know what needs changing, have a play around with the attached file.

Always best if you can upload a simple sample file as what I have is mostly guesswork 🙂 🙂 🙂

@engineguy , you are the best! Thank you for the video and the file. I've watched the video, and it makes sense to me now and plan on poking around in your file later today.

Thanks again, and if I have any more questions, I'll be sure to write back. Have a great day.
