Lathe post for XY instead of XC

We have a Doosan 2000Y lather with subspindle and Y axis live tooling. Wee are doing a part where we are face contouring a square from a round bar. It has been mentioned that using the XY function instead of C function with 12.1 would be more accurate for the small size of part we are doing. Any suggestions how we get the machine to do an XY move instead of a G12.1 XC move?

Thanks

In your post processor page, do you have a field for X negative travel? If it is at zero or smaller than your programmed path, it will output XC
