Post Processor and Machine Simulation What’s New
Looking for the latest post processors and machines updates? Look no further!
We are continually working hard to bring you updates and improvements to the many open-source Post Processors and Machines we offer for free, but those updates often get lost in the shuffle of other enhancements or big feature releases. This post aims to update you on newly added or improved post processors and machines, so you can stay up to date on what you use today or look for news so you can get the most out of Fusion 360.
This post will get refreshed with notable updates as they’re released, and you can click each hyperlink to go to the mentioned post. As always, you can find the latest in our post processor offering on the Online Post Library where you can search by vendor, type, or name, and see any recent changes to each post processor.

1. Improved Post Processors
We are always working to keep post processors up to date with new technologies. This is a summary of the main improvements made to post processors already in the library.
Generic Post Processors
- Added 'homeXY' setting for automatic XY machine home position movements during indexing, tool changes, and on program end.
- Optimized NC output when property 'Safe start all operations' is enabled.
- Improved warning message for dwell time being out of range.
Milling Post Processors
Anderson, Anderson Stratos Pro Full line
Fixed "Length compensation is active" error while 'Use smoothing' property is enabled in Anderson post processors.
Fixed missing ABC positioning in machine simulation in the brother post processors.
Mill-Turn Post Processors
Hurco TMM8, Hurco TMM10, Hurco TMX8MY, Hurco TMX10MY, Hurco TMX8MYS, Hurco TMX10MYS
Updated Hurco mill turn post processors to use newest post engine capabilities.
Hwacheon Hi-TECH 230AL Mill/Turn
Updated Hwacheon Hi-TECH 230AL mill turn postprocessor to use newest post engine capabilities.
Mazak Integrex i-100, Mazak Integrex i-100s, Mazak Integrex i-200, Mazak Integrex i-200s,
Mazak Integrex i-300, Mazak Integrex i-300s, Mazak Integrex i-400, Mazak Integrex i-400s
Fixed TCP NC code to break up large C angle moves.
Updated Okuma LB3000 mill turn post processor to use newest post engine capabilities.
Updated Toshiba VTL mill turn post processor to use newest post engine capabilities.
Waterjet/Laser/Plasma Post Processors
Fixed error 'Array.slice is not a function' when using the upgraded post processor engine.
Fixed error 'Array.slice is not a function' when using the upgraded post processor engine.
Added plasma cutting support to the Stepcraft UCCNC postprocessor.
2. New Machines
Machine Library
The Machine Library lets you manage your machine tools by using Machine Configurations to define your available machines and resources. These configurations can automate the settings in your Job Setup.
There are many Machine Configurations available in the standard library.
The following configuration files do not contain any 3D model, but have all the settings required to optimize your post processor for these specific machines:
The easiest way to get started, is to copy an existing configuration that matches some of the characteristics of your machine.
3. Improved Machines
4. Improved Workholdings
Workholding Library
The Workholding library lets you add a workholding equipment (vise, table, tombstone, etc.) to a manufacturing model. Those can be found in the "CAM Samples" project folder that you can find in the Fusion 360 data panel:
Updated 20 Lang Makro Grip vices for standards.
5. Post Processor Engine
Our development team is always working to update and fix the Autodesk CAM Post Processor engine. These modifications are not related to a specific postprocessor (as described above) but affect the entire library or at least the post processors using that specific class. The current post processor kernel is 4.6034.
The rotary angles that were within 0.025 degrees of the spindle axis will be correctly output as the programmed tilt.
6. Post Processor Ideas
To make our library more varied and complete, we are always working on new post processors. Some of them still need more testing before being released in the public library. Every new Beta post processor is announced in the Idea Station, you can find all of them in the Post Processor Idea Station.
Please note that if you choose to use one of these post processors, you assume all inherent risk in using it and we ask that you proceed with caution.
That being said, we are looking forward to get your feedback!
