Internal contours always a bit too short while external contours are right on ?

A Fusion 360 user with a GRBL router (the guy is very precise) has a recurring problem with inside dimensions in his different parts. External dimensions are extremely close to desired dimensions (delta is less than 5/100 of a millimeter), but internal dimensions are systematically too small (+- 0.7 mm). I have to add that he tested with both possibles compensations, with always the same result.

Any idea where to look for ?
Thanks for your help.

when we say internal, do we mean a 6mm cbore or a 1200mm wide pocket? I have a few guesses already....

Tests have been made on parts of about 50 x 50 mm

Can you share the test file where you've machined a pocket and an external part? Are you using the same cut direction for both and the same finishing cut stepover?
