Internal CAM kernel error. Please report through your support channel.

I'm trying to run an adaptive clearing with a ball nose, is this possible? I ran the adaptive clearing with a 3mm flat endmill and everything is fine but when I rest machine with a 4mm Ball Nose I get the Internal CAM kernel error. Any help is greatly appreciated. Attached is file 103-8278

You REALLY should be using Parallel or 3D Contour for finishing that feature.
No, it doesn't seem to be the case where you can use a Ball Endmill for 3D Adaptive toolpaths, which I do find somewhat odd, as I seem to recall them being possible in the past.....

 

Here's your part with Parallel:

To prevent the tool from diving into the holes, you will want to create Patch surfaces over them and include them in your toolpath, but don't include them in your selections at the Setup level. File is attached to give you an example 🙂
