We noticed that some correction arrivals are incorrectly rendered in the Simulation. Departures from the correction are fine, but the approach is not tangential to the radius, but at an angle.

The code from the post processor is fine

 

I made a simple part with a slot where I demonstrated the strange behavior.

Yeah, this is a known limitation in our Simulation. As you note, the toolpath graphics (out of Simulation) are correct as is the posted code.

I did notice the setting and when I disable the option as shown the toolpath is fine after that.Najezd6.pngNajezd7.png

Is it better to leave this option disabled? Or in other situations is it better to have this option turned on?

Ok, my prior statement was incorrect (based on misunderstanding of things).

The In Control Radius Compensation "Optional Feature" is an improved algorithm to calculate the toolpath.

What is shown "in canvas" is what is fed to the controller. What is shown in Simulation is the path that the tool will take.

 

In this case, what you are seeing in Simulation is not technically correct (with the In Control Comp turned off), what you see with it on IS correct.

I'm not sure I understood your answer well. But my conclusions are this:

 Turning on "In-control radius compensation" has no effect on the resulting NC program. Switching off/on will only take effect in simulation mode (as seen in the picture from Friday with the question marks (???) next to the arrow).

 The tool moves only in the X axis and moves perpendicular to the part. Rendering in the simulation (when "In-control radius compensation" is turned on) is incorrect.

Not quite. What is being displayed in the Simulation is the compensated move as Fusion calculates it and what the machine should also be doing in it's motion. (as the controller is also offsetting the toolpath by the radius of the tool)

You can see this in action by playing with the Lead-In/Out settings. Personally, I prefer to have an arc lead-in/out like this:

Yes, it is possible. But in my specific settings "perpendicular" is turned on (I don't know how it is in the English version) - image.Kolme.pngKolme-2.png
