incomplete adaptive cleaning

First, my apologies for weird looking screencast: idk how to fix it, I recorded whole window 😞

The issue: when I configure adaptive cleaning, F360 decides to remove material from part of the pocket only. The tool is small enough to go to the paw of the cat, but it doesn't even try.

What may be important: ball and cat have different depth: the ball is deeper, as can be seen on the screenshot.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

2D is all the same depth so either do the Cat and the Ball as two different 2D cuts or try using the 3D Adaptive, different depths is 3D.

In this step ball should not be processed, and I explicitly had selected cat only, so this is not the case, I think.

It is visible on the second screenshot.

You have selected open contour for machining, that's why it so weird looking. It's not very clear from screencast but I think you've selected machining geometry by clicking on bottom face, not very good practice for 2D-Adaptive, it's far better to use curves because you will always explicitly select machining geometry without any unwanted surprises. In this case double-click on perimeter curve for the cat and add segment between paw and the ball, now you got your closed contour, click plus sign for accept.
