I am having a problem getting fusion to chamfer an ID of a part. I select the chamfer and it want to chamfer through the part instead of following the chamfer and the drags its way through the other side of the part.

Consider using Profile Finishing:

I tried using Profile Finishing but it will come up with an error saying No valid toolpath.

First off, you cannot use OD tool and start cut from inside to outside, looking at genuine crash by design.

If you have to use that tool, it needs heavy relief to avoid interference and you must cut from outside to inside.

So here is your better option, using solid carbide boring bar.

Hey Seth, I am fighting urge to add sketch, I think I graduated to 3D without injuries.

I went on the assumption that the programmer knew that simulation of most turning tools was sub-par and any collision of holder was mostly false 😉

Your way certainly works!
