The first pass is being taken at full depth, it's not cutting any air, it's just cutting higher on the flute section.

It is my understanding that "Reduce air cutting" makes Fusion aware of the fact that the tool does not need to take a full depth of cut in an instance such as this as there isn't any stock at that depth. Am I wrong?
