I can't create or edit custom toolholders any more!!

Well this is frustrating. I've spent an hour failing to edit my existing custom toolholders to create a probing tool that resembles my Renishaw MP1s. On previous occasions, I was able to take a compete existing tool and / or toolholder body and edit the diameter / length table that generates the body of the tool. Initially I tended to start with an example holder body and make changes from there. In the case of a simple change in body diameter to create a larger end mill side holder, this would usually be just a minor change to the body diameter of one of my existing tools.

I seem able to edit the "Sample Holders" bodies but not much else, including any of my many previous custom tools. That also goes for many of the example tools and bodies such as Tormach and Renishaw but not for others such as Albrecht and Maritool. Is this something to do with copyright permissions? But if so, why can't I edit my own existing tools which were generally based on the generic toolholders?

I changed my stuff over to the "team" structure not so long ago. Does that mean that tools I previously created / edited in the previous profile are now read-only? Am I going to have to recreate all my toolholders from scratch if I need to make any edits to them? Please tell me otherwise.

And no, when I try to select other toolholders, all my previous folders are greyed out. Only the samples are available. I can start from scratch of course...

Update - just tried to create a new toolholder from one of the "BT40 blank" examples. Although this at least shows a table for the body dimensions, I can't actually edit any of them, for instance add a meaningful body to it of my own dimensions. This really isn't going well. Time to do something more productive....

Hi Seth - yes, I was expecting to be able to edit them once they were in my cloud or local folders but no joy.

I'm going to have to tackle this in a week or so, as I am about to go on a family break.

Perhaps Fusion needs a week's break too!

Thanks for the reply - I will look into this when I get back.

I've finally been able to come back to this. Still no joy - I can grab and edit one of the generic toolholder samples but NONE of my existing toolholders can be edited. The properties are greyed out and I can't get to the table of dimensions that define them and allow editing.

I have managed to create a screencast (although the controls aren't integrated into the Fusion title bar despite restarting the computer twice and Fusion several times). This shows what I am up against. Is it just me???

It looks as if I will have to create toolholders from scratch now. That's real backward progress! Any idea what happened? I might guess it dates to the time I changed over to the Team setup but that's just a guess.
