How To Setup Machine Library? (HAAS VF-3 SS)

Hello, I am having trouble with setting up my machine library. I am using Windows 10 and the latest version of Fusion 360.

Currently I am looking to set up my HAAS VF-3 SS in the Fusion 360 machine library, it is pre-NGC and has no trunnion table. It has an A axis, and I have had trouble getting that to even remotely work, this is my biggest issue.

I am trying to use this program to produce code from my model, I am wondering if anyone else has set this up before or if not, how I could go about setting it up (in the Fusion 360 machine library).

Thank you for your time. 🙂

It doesn't look like we have a VF-3 with a 4th axis on it, but we do have a VF4. There are a couple of options;

1) Use the VF4 and live with the knowledge that the X axis is larger than what you have

2) Use the VF-3 and add a solid model of your 4th axis to it. You will then need to mess about with the Machine Builder tools and get your 4th axis recognized as an axis.

Do you have models of the machine and the 4th axis already?
