How To Post 2 Different Offsets On Same Part?

I have a part going on a vacuum plate. Some ops, such as the profiles have to use g58 (floor of vacuum) and the G54 has to be top of part. How do I alternate between these and output one clean file? I know I could merge them post-posting but that doesn't feel very 2022.  It'd be nice if I could drag and drop the ops inside the post window ("operations")

Have you tried two Setups? One containing the Operations that need to be done at the G54 and one with the Operations that need to be done at the G58, if there are operations that use the same tool then you could use the "re-order" the tools as that will work when having more than one Setup ??

If you can upload your file then it could be looked at with the above possibility in mind ??

That would mean that say for example Tool#1 would go do an Operation at the G54 and then do an Operation at the G58, maybe ?? 🙂

Another option is to put the operations you want on a different WCS into a folder, you can then change the WCS of the folder.

That way all operations are in the same setup.

I've tried both of those ways already, it won't function properly. G54 is top of part, G58 is bottom - meaning I can't use a 3d adaptive in a G58 "folder" because the bottom height is "above" the g54/model height.

Right now I am just using 4 seperate setups and posting it straight (g58 rough, g54 rough, g58 finish, g54 finish).

Ahh sorry I missed the part that they had different locations.

Why does G54 have to be the top of the part though?

are you adjusting the G54 to bring some features into the correct size?

You could still have G54 in the same Theoretical location as G58 but adjust to bring features into size.

We are cutting many hundreds of parts out of plastic sheet which varies by .03 at times on a vacuum plate.
