How to edit local machine file?

Made some alterations to the Autodesk generic machine to create a model of my mill which was saved in the "local" directory (wherever that may be). Wanted to do some updating but it's not possible. In the manage library screen the machine is available but on clicking the edit button I get a error pop-up telling me that it can't access the cloud file. Really??? but it wasn't saved to the cloud afaik. Started using F360 recently because it runs on the Mac (The old Fusion stopped working) but it's soooo frustrating compared to the old Inventor which I used to use on Windows some years ago.

Local Machines are located here "C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\CAM360\machines" and the cloud Machines are located here "C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\48BZP2LNGVBW\W.login\M\D20210916445276376\CAMMachines"

This cloud directory is synced to the cloud so any changes you make in there will get updated in Fusion cloud.

Hi,

I think that's a Windows file path - I'm on a Mac. I did find machines in /Users/<user_name>/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/CAM/cache/machines but that only lists ALL .machine files as listed when selecting a machine in the program. That in itself is odd because when you select a machine it goes through a download procedure. All these .machine files are dated from when I first installed the app last month, there are no modified files from yesterday or today.

Anyway I deleted the referenced file and recreated it. Now it is editable, but it still seems not te be saved locally. I came to the conclusion that one of the crashes that occurred was during a cloud sync or some sort of communication. This resulted in discrepancies in various files.

Thanks for the response.
