How to 3D back chamfer using trace

I would like to back chamfer this small bore that is goes into a larger bore. A 2D contour toolpath is only 2D and will not correctly back chamfer the small bore. The trace tool path correctly back chamfers the small bore (pringle shaped tool path) however there is not lead in/lead out parameter that will prevent the tool from crashing into the model on the plunge or retract. It would be ideal if there was a plunge/retract from center option or at least more more lead-in/lead-out parameters. How can I do this?

Model the chamfer and use Flow instead.

My fusion doesn't have flow. I tried morph but no luck.

can also try drawing a sketch and following the sketch with the trace command. just sketch along what you want chamfered, plus add a lead in line and a lead out line.

I thought we all share same Fusion options,.... anyway, contour is bad choice with lollipop tool because each of the 3 passes is cut with different point on tool.

If you are stranded on desert island and absolutely have no other option, you could run each contour using same tool but different offset, so you can compensate each by different amount to blend 3 passes into something close to chamfer.

 

Flow is your best option and Ramp is second best.

Another thought regarding contour, you could draw larger circles for bottom and middle pass and observe blend in simulation until it looks good then correct after first part, but that's just wrong way to do it.

But because each pass will leave concave impression simulation will be deceiving at best. 

You could also use dove tail tool and single contour if its just cosmetic edge break.
