How do i program THIS in fusion

Hello all,

working on some 4140 shafts today and im getting to the millwork now. i haven't had much problems with this parts yet, but ive hit a snag doing this rounded slot pictured below.. i figured i could just sketch a line use a trace command. the problem is when it leads out it isn't aware of the part because im using trace(at least i'm making that assumption).

so what can i do differently here to obtain this? ill be using a .75x.125 diameter slotting cutter that matches the slot... just in and out is at least what i was aiming for. we have a very small selection of slot mills.

Hi @CuttingEdgeManufacturing,

Try a 2D contour. On the Passes tab compensation OFF. On Linking tab lead in off and lead out 180 deg without radius but an extension of a value that is big enough.
