I figured out some of what needed to be done, i went ahead and made a grooving tool, did the insert as it was suppose to be done. but when i get to the holder and tell it its a inside groove tool, it made the insert 90 degrees off? i just need a .094" wide insert for a groove bar for id groove.

UPDATE*

So i got it working. i used a sample tool in the library, but i still have no clue whats going on. in the tool library preview window it looks like pic 1.

Screenshot (31).pngScreenshot (32).png

pic 2 is what it looks like in the simulation.

what am i missing here? seems like the insert page in tool library doesnt correspond correctly to image once i change it to a inside groove tool.

Hi @CuttingEdgeManufacturing

Good to see you're using the new tool library and thanks for raising this! It's a known bug which the team have now fixed and you should see the fix in the next release of Fusion. As you've discovered, the issue only affects the render in the tool library and the simulation render is still correct. In the meantime, you could switch the `Tool Library` feature flag off temporarily and use the old tool library to create your tool, since the render should be correct there.

Thanks,

this is probably the 5th time ive programed something for the lathe so i wasnt too sure if it was a me problem🤣

anyway the new tool library is amazing. love everything about it. few annoyances but major improvement compared to the old one.
