Horrible lathe tool path, left hand tool back to front!

I get a real odd tool path with a left hand tool and back to front direction with rest enabled and angled lead ins. All but the last lead in ignores the length and goes to the Outer radius.

If I turn angled lead off it looks OK but there's no clearance, each pass starts on the material. File's attached.

Thanks Mark

@HughesTooling I am seeing the problem with the angled entry and I'll make a ticket for it. But I don't see the problem with the tool starting inside the material with angled entry turned off. The X and Z clearances seem to work as intended with respect to the rest material boundary. Or am I missing something here?

OK I see if you zoom in there's a bit of clearance. Although the last pass starts touching.

Would be nice if you could have a distance you start off the stock. A bit like the Z clearance allows a bit more clearance off the front of the part.

@HughesTooling

The issue of angled entry being measured with respect to the stock limit instead of rest area limit was fixed in the update that recently went out.

Thank you, been wondering about that after a "colleuage" showed it to me and I couldn't understand how to fix the angle entry

Nice to see you remembered after 3 years as I came to this thread last year in 2024 Feb looking for answers on this!
