Help with Preferred Entry Point

I have a 2d adaptive path.

Unfortunatly the bit plunges into the stock on every pass.

I already have a pre drilled hole and a tool path created to full depth in the middle.

I can select the preferred entry position, but the program ignores this.

What can I do to avoid the plunge moves into stock

Check the stock contours box under the geometry tab Since 2D Adaptive doesn't recognize it unless you tick the Box. Or use the 3D Adaptive Toolpath.

That worked but now the tool path goes out beyond stock edge....That will impact the vice.

If I select edge of part the tool path goes wonky.

If it turn of stock selection the preferred lead in goes back to plunging stock?
