Help required for 3D printed bosses

I have just started out using Fusion 360 to design and 3D print plastic enclosures for electronic assemblies.

The enclosures are clam-sheel style with a lid and base and bosses to allow them to be screwed together.

The problem I have is the bosses are snapping off when I try to screw the parts together.

Is there a recommendation for how to design bosses for 3D printed parts that work properly or tips you use to secure the lid and base?

Hi @salesMUBBN, Are the bosses snapping off because of the orientation of the print. Tube like structures when printed in the z axis (like little circles) will have little strength, if you rotate your print 90 degrees it may solve the issue at the cost of a bit more support. Could also try increasing the temp to get better layer adhesion.

The print orientation is not best for the bosses but if I rotate it there will be large overhangs to deal with.
