Heights "From" default setting

I am trying to figure out how to set the "from" heights to a default setting of origin.  I can save my offset values as a default but not the From value.  My buddy whos been using this longer than me said you used to be able to before an update.  any help appreciated

Hi @Matthew.Magnaghi,

You can set your default heights using the "Compare and Edit" dialog.

1. Right click on the operation you wish to change and select "Compare and Edit"
2. Search for the height you wish to set the default (top, bottom, feed, retract, etc), and change it to what you wish the default to be
3. Right click on the new setting under your operation
4. Click "Save as user Default"

Note: This will only change the default for that specific operation. In my example image, I would only be changing the default for the Top Height in 2D Contour. You will have to repeat the process for each height and each operation. You can always revert back to the system default from the same right-click context menu by clicking "Reset to System Default."

thanks, theres a lot of nuances I don't know about in this software. That definitely won't be my last question. But that worked!
