Having a difficult time doing this project, please help

Hey, just hoping someone can help me out. I know just about enough to be dangerous, not enough to finish this project I'm working on for my wife.

I'm trying to CNC this crib board, I used a 3D adaptive clearing toolpath  with a 6mm end mill, no issue there, but when I tried to use the circular toolpath to clear out the hole for the pegs, I can't select any of the holes to get the toolpath to create, also won't auto detect holes of the same size. Not sure what I've done, but I've tried a few times now and cannot get it to cut the holes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi

You have no file attached so we cant see what the issue might be.

Sounds like you may be trying to machine a mesh body, in which case only 3d toolpaths will work as meshes have no selectable geometry

At a guess I'd say the tool (with paths) is too large for the hole(s)...But if you share the Fusion file we can have a squiz.

If you can't select them and they aren't auto detecting... then they either aren't circular or aren't aligned to the setup/tool orientation Z axis. Was this geometry imported from another CAD system?

hopefully this will allow you to see what I’m working on, otherwise not sure how to share it.

Hi Best to do it this way:

Goto File>Export>Save as .f3d/.f3z then attach to a reply here.

if its an .f3z file you need to drag and drop it as there's a bug in the forum software that won't let you attach them using browse

That particular link won't no, since we would need access to your Team Hub for that one to work. You can create share links... but the best approach is the one @a.laasW8M6T suggested
