I'm wondering if the parts catcher can be set to go into position just before the cut off where the parting is near done, rather than at the beginning? Reason, tired of parts catcher and door filling up with chips and coolant spraying our the door.
So, if you're parting, you have the option to reduce feed rate at a certain radius, typically very near completion of the parting operation. Would a person be asking for trouble to move the M36 to the section where the reduced feed occurs? You don't want the tool dragging while your waiting on the catcher, but that seems like a better time than catching all the parting chips right?
