I am using the generic HAAS A Axis post and getting this error message:

If I post process each operation in the setup found that it is 3 of the drilling operations that are not making it thru the post processor, the rest of the ops will post individually.

I did a "Compare and Edit" between one drill op that will post and one that will not.

There are no differences...

I am using tool orientation in each operation and have check it many times...

I am uploading the file here. The problem operations are in the "Rotary File" and are titled Failed to Post

Anyone see what I am doing wrong or have had a similar issue?

thanks

Looking at your file I do see that there are some pretty weird selections. Before I get deeper into it, why is the stock corner your Setup datum but then the sketch point at the center and bottom of the dovetail your location for all operations? It would be much easier to use that as your WCS and have all the Tool Orientations point to it. Second, why all the points for drilling? Selecting the hole wall will be much simpler and if the model changes it will also keep the geometry selections, as well as allow you to define the drill depth using the hole depth.

Well, the WCS was your problem. Initially it is set up with the Z axis in an orientation that will not allow for a 4th axis rotary orientation. I changed the WCS around, redefined the stock so it matched your previous setup, and everything posted fine using the Haas with A-axis generic post processor:

I had always approached the WCS like this in previous setups... just assuming that tool orientation would override the setup WCS.

I will approach setups in a cleaner way from here out.

Thanks for taking the time to look into the file and solving this!

No problem! Clean setups do tend to make things easier down the road Smiley Wink
