Gang tooling setup sheet only shows one tool

Hello all, i have looked and couldnt find exactly what i was looking for. I think someone is a fusion users group on facebook said its not possible so i just wanted to double check here. My issue is when i post a setup sheet for a lathe that has gang tooling (one tool number, different numbered offsets) the setup sheet only includes the first tool in the gang. i understand why this is the way it is, but is there any info on what, if anything, i can modify to make it give me every tool/ offset even though the tool number is the same, just the offsets are different? like can you tell it somewhere to consider different unique offsets as the unique tools? sorry if this doesnt make sense, was trying to be as discriptive as possible.

Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.

I seem to recall this popping up before, I think the solutions was toggle this option in "Optional Features"

If that doesn't work, sharing the file would be most helpful.

Which Setup Sheet method are you using (there's three):

1) NC Program > Create Setup Sheet

2) Select the Setup and then right click > Create Setup Sheet

3) Select the Setup and then go to post process > Select Excel/HTML setup sheet

If your method is the first, which post processor are you using? (I can't test method #1 without that knowledge)

Method 2 will produce and HTML sheet with all the tools on it.

Oh; and the info on the Facebook groups is (often) not always accurate. Tread carefully there...

Im using method 2, i tried three but i dont see that option. One doesnt work at all with different tools with the same numbers for me, just errors that same tool has different geomentry and doesnt create a setup sheet. Method two works mostly fine, just the tool list at the start onlt shows the first tool with that tool number, doesnt show the rest. And just incase, im using the DMG NLX2500/700y post from fusion post library, only changes i made to the post from the fusion library is to allow for through tool coolant and to added high pressure coolant. Ive attached the post just incase.

Oh and yeah about the facebook groups, agree info is definitely not always accurate. there are like three people there that i listen to, info from the rest is just something to try or something to keep in mind. But i didnt know that this was such an active and informative platform, so i will definitely be spending more time here.

Sorry, it's been a busy week. I'll try to address this later today or tomorrow. You're more than welcome to open a Support Ticket, it is one of the perks that comes with having a Commercial license 😎

Ok, sorry, not trying to nag, we’ve just been using excel sheets for lathe setup sheets and it’s a quite annoying process, I prefer fusion (and hsm in my past experience) setup sheets so much more, this gang issue being the only hang up at the moment.

Are you manually creating the Excel sheets, or are you using Fusion to generate one?

For method #3, (which I use all the time):

Now, to be clear, I don't end up with a Setup Sheet that looks like that. I've modified by my own Excel sheet and related post processor to give me just the data I'm looking for. I don't have much need for tool images, but there is other data I absolutely needed that isn't present on this or any other setup sheet, while also maintaining a trim appearance.

Oh boy, manual creation of Setup Sheets. Yeah, we can do better than that....

Did the above video help at all with Setup Sheet creation, or are there still lingering issues I can address in the morning?

(oh, and you're most certainly not nagging, I get the urgency from your point of view)

I tried the method in the video, and its cool i will definitely try and find info on how to mess more with that because i can see the benefits...But it doesnt fix the issue of only showing one tool four instead of the two tools with different offsets i have in tool 4 location. But maybe messing with the excel post is the key to figuring this out. Sorry if i wasnt clear, we manually make excel setup sheets so that we can get all the gang tool info right now. And i definitely appreciate all your help.

It does look like we've fixed method #1 internally. I've attached the Setup Sheet that's created. It does still appear that the HTML and Excel setup sheets are incorrect, but I've got a discussion planned later on this morning with one of the developers, hopefully we can figure out the "why" (at least for the Excel sheet)

I've opened up CAMP-2919 to investigate the issue with the HTML and Excel setup sheets.

"internally" meaning its not in the production build of the software yet? Because this is the error i get when trying method 1. (dont mind the "spindle speeds exceeds maximum value for operation "bore counterbores"" error, thats because our live tooling goes way faster than our main spindle speed)

That is correct. Method#1 should be fixed at the next update (with any luck), but the issue still exists of not including all the data. I've had a chat with a post developer and it turns out fixing the Excel sheet and related post processor is a relatively trivial task, I would hope to have a solution for in the near future.
