G-Code converter for NC Studio version 5.5.60

Hello,

I am just getting started on a CNC machine running NC Studio version 5.5.60. I found the below information about the controller.

Machine: Saiwei - 6590

https://www.dhgate.com/product/pci-controlling-card-ncstudio-cnc-router/170215926.html

  • Command: G*code. u00*.mmg*plt
  • Axis: 3 axis
  • Used for: cnc router
  • Warranty: one year
  • Version: 5.4.49/5.5.55/5.5.60

I see there have been some postings about what will work with NC studio but wanted to check and see if there is a known solution that will help me past some of the early troubleshooting steps. Is there any additional information I can provide to help get closer to a good starting point?

Thanks for the Help!!!

Hi Daniel,

I installed the post and generated code using the suggested link and using the Funuc post that I see some people saying works.

The Funuc generates the .nc file ext which is what NC Studio seems to want to open.

The Weihong post creates a .cnc file but I am still able to open it with NC Studio.

NC Studio seems to be able to load both and does not report any errors. When I simulate the run in NC studio both programs looks to run the same way. When I attempt to run either program the tool seems to travel two or three times further than expected on the X and y axis and then it moves up to the z axis emergency stop. Is there a setting in the cam SW that would make the dim's larger? So far from what I can see both pots's seem to work the same way. I changed CAM setting in fusion 360 to mm and tried again but got the same result.

Are there any suggestions on what I may be missing?

Thanks for the help!

Hi Daniel,

To close the Funuc post  works better at least for the very simple runs that I am currently making. It's possible that I run into issues running more advanced programs. For now thanks for your help and please considered the post closed.

Regards,
