Fusion360 regenerating protected tool paths.

I protected a bunch of tool paths to keep Fusion 360 from regenerating them while I worked on the program.  But each time I edit say the first rotatory tool path, all proceeding tool paths regenerate despite them being protected.  See attached screen shot.

Also anything below the rotatory tool paths such as drilling now regenerate so slowly.

I strongly suspect that what you're seeing is the In Process Stock regeneration, not the actual toolpath generating. You CAN turn that off, if you so desire:

I'm guessing that what you're seeing is that the in-process stock is being recalculated. I doubt the toolpath itself is being regenerated. You should be able to check this by displaying the Task Manager while this is happening.
