fusion turn radius is flattened

hello all,

i have a problem i tried for hours to solve but somehow i cannot...

i am running fusion 360 with a mach3 turn postprocessor and an anton cnc lathe. if i model a 3mm radius at the end of a round part, the radius is not perfectly round, it is a little flat in the middle of the radius.

i use an dcmt070204 which i suppose is correctly set up in fusion. 0.4mm radius on the insert.

my x axis has about 0.07mm backlash, the z axis 0.03mm which i compensated in mach3. backlash compensation is switched on.

has anybody an idea what could be wrong?

thanks,

michael

i found the solution, it was a postprocessor problem combined with mach3 settings.

i used the mach3 turn postprocessor which i used before on my cnc knee mill doing lathe work. but somehow that post did not work because the i and k numbers i could not get right together with the mach 3 setup. ( on general config the i,k  inc or absolute values, and mach3 turn settings the "change direction of arcs" tab)

so i switched to the fanuc post, changed a few settings in mach3 and it works.

hope this helps others in the future, it took me many hours.
