Fusion Manufacturing Toolpaths incorrect but show valid

Lately I've noticed in manufacturing that toolpaths show as valid however are referencing old geometry.

For example, If I changed my stock size which slightly moved my model relative to the stock all the toolpaths still reference the old model position. They show valid but under simulation its apparent they're not following the requested geometry (bore positions, heights, etc). The only solution I've found is to force regenerate each toolpath twice (yes not once, but twice!) or to reselect all geometry inside the toolpath.

Is there a solution to prevent this from happening?

Photo shows a valid toolpath that is in the incorrect position. If I force regenerate twice it will finally update.

Thanks

I've got a few questions:

  • Is this reproducible at will
  • Mac or PC? What OS
  • Are MFG models involved at all?
  • Are you working with native Fusion data or is it imported STEP and/or Desktop Connector type work
  • Can you repeatedly get this result on the same file?
  • If you can repeat this with a fair bit of regularity, could you:
    A) Share your file here
    B) Share the steps to reproduce the issue.

FWIW, we've been getting some reports of this behavior, but as of yet, been unable to replicate the issue.

Seth,

  • This is the first time I've encountered this, We've had other people at our work experience this same issue though.
  • PC - Windows 11
  • Are MFG models Involved at all? - can you elaborate as to what you mean by this
  • Working with native fusion model.
  • Doesn't appear to be repeatable.

Thanks

Riley

MFG Models take an additional step in the MFG environment. If you don't know what those are, it's a safe bet that you aren't using them. This is a good thing, as it narrows the scope of where we need to look. Any additional info would be most appreciated, as we've not been able to pin down what is actually triggering this random issue....

Would you be able to share the file, either here or privately?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply.

If you prefer to share it privately, you can email it to me: seth DOT madore AT autodesk DOT com

Please reference this thread in your email so I understand the context 🙂
