Fusion 360 and Cgtech Vericut

Anyone out there use CGtech vericut to verify Cam programs with Fusion ?

We have the Autodesk interface for fusion but when we try to use it ,it gives an error saying no output file specified.

But there is no option to specify the output file ?

Cgtech say the interface is an Autodesk product not there's so have so far been unable to help.

Anyone used this and got it to work ?

How are you using this post processor? It should be used as a cascading post (selected from the setup button in the post dialog)

For this, select your normal post processor (Fanuc for example) as the post in the dialog, then use the cascading post option (shown below) to use the vericut interface

Hi George,

Thanks for the reply.

I've tried this but the post we are using is Heidenhain.cps and I get the error saying this post is not a cascading post ?

To clarify, You are using Hiedenhien as your regular post and Vericut as your cascading post? Can you get just the Hiedenhien to post out?

Hi,

We are using the hedienhain post, we are new to Fusion and are testing it at the moment, but yes we can post out to the Heidenhain post.

We have now realized the vericut.CPS file is a post so have put that in the post directory and set that as the cascading post.

Where do we put the vericut.hta file ? ( this is what we were running to get the vericut interface box to appear originally)

Could you run through the whole process ?, we are new to fusion, want to use vericut as we use this with our other cam system but there are not any instructions with the vericut add in we downloaded.

I do not have the luxury of Vericut. I just wanted to make sure you understood the order of the post and cascading post from the above poster. There is a link to another thread that may help? https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/hsm-post-processor-forum/vericut-postp-working/td-p/8929152

Hi George,

I am having a similar problem with the Autodesk CAM to Vericut post. Is there a step by step guide or troubleshooting manual?
