Flat area detection overides Rest Machining

I have a 3D adaptive shallow .020 deep pocket which I'm attempting to rest machine.

The first image is correct, with Flat area detection on.  It correctly identifies the rest material and creates the correct rest only path.

When flat area detection is enabled seen in the second image.  The rest material is not calculated correctly and machines already machined areas.

Is this expected behavior?

That is an interesting behavior. I don't suppose you could share your file, either here or privately? It would be NDA and used only for defect logging.

I'd be mostly interested in your Tolerance, Stock To Leave, tolerance and stock to leave on prior tools, mostly that sort of thing.
