Finishing pass problems

I'm trying to start outside the front face .032" with my finish pass but my simulation looks like its starting inside the piece.  I've changed the front geometry front boundary to start outside the piece but the tool path never moves?    Isnt that the function that would drive the starting point for the tool path?

@Anonymous This is the first point of the toolpath, with the contact point tangential at the first point of the profile. Is this not what you are expecting? You can use either a front tangential extension or a lead in if you want to start out further. (You already have a lead in that is doing that)

Thanks, the simulation looks like it’s starting an 1/8” inside the profile.

Will simulation run with the section analysis function on?  Certainly does give a clearer picture of what’s really happening.

@Anonymous Yeah, you can turn the section analysis view on and off if it's interfering with your simulation. From what I am seeing the finishing toolpath is being created as expected and should not gouge the part as long as you have the material roughed out beforehand.
