Finish Embossed Text with a Chamfer Mill

Heya,

Can anyone help me remember how to use a chamfer mill to cut out a corner radiuses on text?

I'm sure I saw a video tutorial showing how you could use a chamfer or possibly an engrave operation to remove the remaining corner radius after using an end mill on a sharp corner - but i can't remember how to do it or find the video. 

It's not supposed to cut all the way down just clean up the corners so they're a little bit tidier at the very top of the embossed text.

2D Engrave will work for the inside, but not for the outside:

For the external, I think you might have to get creative with a trace toolpath. Nothing's jumping out at me that Fusion would be able to do with ease (unless it was actually modeled proper)

You can engrave around the outside of letters but you need to add an outer border.

I've attached a file that demonstrates how to 2d pocket and contour using the taper option then finish with engrave. The outer border pass does nothing and could be edited out of the g code.

I need to have another look at how these work out as i was struggelling to recreate it.

My stepped levels were inside the contour of the text for some reason.

Can't upload a model at the moment but will have another try later.

BTW, really love the way you get the sloped releif. Really good effect to try out.

To make this work reliably you need to select the contour\path at the top of the letter and the Top Height and Bottom height need to both reference the Selected Contours. This does mean you have to enter a minus offset for the bottom height.
