File cutting air

Hi all,

This is a router set up, machine is an old 24x24 ZenBot router, running Mach3 control.  Im hoping someone could look over this CAM file and the code and let me know if you find something that is wrong.  Ive been trying to figure out why its cutting air above the part and ran it several times with the same issue, and never finishing to cut the full depth of .24.  Had my son run it today but I was not in shop but he tells me today it cut only to .123 deep.  The machine Z0 is set correctly so im not sure what is going on. I just ran a previous file the day before and all was goodset ups are pretty much the same but maybe Im forgetting something in this file.   Ive rebooted, relaunched Mach3, and reposted the file after making adjustments several times. Files below.

Any input?

post your code. Look for a Z-.24 command. It sounds a lot like you're off by 1/2 your part by mis-selecting your G54.

WHY can't I post the code file it keeps getting removed from this post. I posted it yesterday as well, but it was removed that's why it was not here.

My G54 Is correct, the machine Z0 are set correctly.   What is going on here?

See if I can post the code from our dropbox

Are you trying to do it through email?

did you mean to mill your counterbore all the way through?

your code looks proper. -34 drill, -.24 cut.

Something is wrong on your controller or machine. Tool push up 1/8" from the drilling?

I forgot to mention an important detail: of the 6 machining operations the pocket and drilling ops ran fine and as expected, but then the 3 conture operations are where the air cuts start.

No not email I attached the code file here, but it kept getting deleted.  Got this error.

I did not intend for the pocket to cut all the way to part bottom  that was another issue that I will just now deal with in the final assembly.  The bottom of the pocket should be .125 deep.

not sure what the issue is on the machine or the control.  We have reloaded the file, reset the machine cords several times.

To resolve this run and get the parts done I just ended up just adjusting my retract and rapid heights +.125 in CAM and then resetting Z to -.125 on the machine. That got me my 1st set of parts; we're running 2nd set now.
