Feature Request

Hi Autodesk team,

Really simple and straight forward feature request,

Could we please have a rollback feature.

Kinda getting tired of the issues and crashes after an update.

Also getting tired of the "Perform a clean install" as an answer to problems.

Also getting tired of the problems associated when Fusion decides to download an update in the back ground whilst working - It becomes very unstable and almost always crashes then.

I 2nd this, I've spend the majority of my day today trying to 'recover' a file that got caught up in an update / crash loop

Happened across multiple computers, across multiple system restarts that cascaded, even opened a (unresponded to) support ticket

Then I started going back version by version, and what do you know, 4 versions back, on a file that wouldn't open without crashing the software on multiple computers, starting working, was able to promote it to latest design, and 'only' have lost a few hours of now repeat work, as well as untangling this

@Anonymous you're not going to keep professional users with this environment, stop focusing on new things and make the features that are already there, ACTUALLY WORK!

Sick of hearing about new features or potential new pipelines, when I have to spend hours recovering files figuring out why work coordinate systems on CAM setups MOVED, with a software update. What possibly could happen with an overnight update to move the orientation of my WCS???

No I will not be sharing my files, my customers and myself are already frustrated enough, about ready to just leverage the NX cam license onsite we have here so I can actually get parts out..

I'm honestly very surprised this hasn't been done all ready.

If they bothered to read the comments section where they explain the updates.... There are numerous comments pointing out issues, crashes and failures. Each and every time.
Some are only hours old. How can an average user find a problem in an hour and their development team and bug people not find them in the months they spend creating them.

Their website advertises that some really big-name companies use their software, I wonder how they respond when things just simply lock up, stop working and then data changes and cause untold issues down the line.

This no roll back situation is one of the major contributing factor why we mostly still use Inventor CAM even if no new features come to it.  It is much faster and much more reliable.  There is no way we can deal with something broken without the possibility of not going back to the version that worked, won't happen for us, I'm sure we are not alone.

That being said, I really like Fusion, I do use it sometimes, it is going in a good direction I think, and I do like new features coming all the time, keeps it interesting!  Too bad reliability is a problem.
