Feature Request: Pause 'Automatic In-Process Stock Generation' when Running a Simulation

The issue is that when 'Automatic In-Process Stock Generation' is calculating, it really bogs down the toolpath simulation. If Fusion could simply pause this background calculation whenever a toolpath simulation is being carried out, it should significantly improve the user experience when simulating toolpaths.

When I say it bogs down, the frames per second of the simulation is significantly reduced to about 1 frame every 5 seconds, which is unusable. I have had this issue on other computers too. I often just sit and wait for the 'Automatic In-Process Stock Generation' to finish before running the simulation, which obviously takes a lot of time.

Let me know if this can be looked at and possibly added with little effort. Thanks!

It's a few extra mouse clicks, but instead of waiting for IPS to finish, you can pause IPS yourself before starting simulation. The button is on the Utilities tab in the Manufacture environment.

Hi Brek,

Thanks for your reply. I am aware of this button and use it sometimes. To be honest most of the time I am already in the simulation when I remember, and closing and re-opening the simulation takes a very long time for it to all load in again. Having it automatically pause would improve the user experience.

Thanks,

Joe
