Hello, Feature Request in Manufacturing: Add a Notes field under the Tool properties. See below picture for location:

In this instance I want to take note for my future self of how to make chamfers with a back chamfer tool since it's not supported regularly.

Thank you for your time.

That would be nice, have an area where you could plug in a bunch of text if needed.

One suggestion would be that, once you've got a double angle tool defined is to create your toolpath and save them as templates. You can put notes on the toolpaths themselves to serve as a reminder to you what they're supposed to do

Here a nice article explaining how to use expressions to drive a back chamfer tool which you may find helpful too

It would be as simple as making a template that uses Selected Contour for the depth, then using Stock to Leave values to drive the break edge amount.

While I appreciate the tips, there is too much nuance for how this particular tool is used (top chamfer, bottom chamfer, modification for clearance to adjacent surface, is the chamfer modeled or not, etc.) that I don't want to make templates for it (racknowledging the option to put notes in a template) and therefore I would like to Request this Feature for Notes within a Tool. I appreciate the tips though.
