Fanuc post errors OM-C control.

I am unsure if the FANUC (Compact) post in the Fusion Post Library first may be cleaner and more correct for the Fanuc 0M-C?

Generic Fanuc has errors.

I readily admit to being a newbie, but wrong code is wrong code for anyone.

OM-C control is very common on older machines; my same vintage lathe is an OT.

 

The issues so far:

  • H09 generated instead of H10.
  • Missing G43 for first tool.
  • G28 instead of G30 for tool change.
  • Unnecessary block skips.

The G43 should be there if you're using the one from the library. Please can you share the file and post if it isn't

For G28, make sure it is selected when you go to post process

This works, what Autodesk sent had issues with Block Skips, G28, a wrong H number, and  G43 error.

The "Compact" version was much worse, it generated subroutines.

I only have three tools in my library at this time #9 is not one of them.

G30 is an opton under the Safe Retracts tab? Good to know.

But the / block skips are not good.

Perhaps I should have broken the issues into seperate topics.

G28/G30 is resolved.

The rest are not.

I had a hard drive failure and am just now getting back into this after the new install.

OK, regards the H9/10 issue. The solution is to find the tool height in TOOL EDIT and set it, it is another page under tool selection.

It will default into the G Code generator even though you set tool 10 in the tool selection.

To be rid of the / block skips unselect Optional Stops.

My unasked for MO1 Line N140 also did not appear, perhaps due to unselecting optional stops.

So with these changes we may now mark this resolved.
