Extracting Lines for tool path

Hi guys,

I have a question about creating lines to follow the radius and I will do my best to word this. (Screenshots attached)

One image you will see a line that follows thru the main groove, which is what I need. I was about to create that with using the center of the body that I used to create the groove in the first place.

The real question is to get lines that work across the radius (2nd image with radius selected) that run up and down.

In the 3rd image there are 2 edges selected, one on each side of the radius. I basically want the lines in that direction that wrap around the radius, spaced 0.004 apart or so. The spacing shouldn't be an issue if I had a good approach to get the lines.

Any help is appreciated!

If you create plane at angle that coincides with angle of groove, offset that plane to position it at middle of the groove then project model edge onto plane and use the line as driving curve for tool on center.

You can also use groove edge with Trace and tool to the left of it if tool is same diameter as groove, pictures are not of much help here but that's my best guess.

Ill look into this. I got some feedback from another member who said to sketch a line and use the split face feature and I think that will do the trick for me. Thanks for the input.
