Exit position does not work for me

Hey!

So originally I wanted to create a spiral toolpath that roughs your groove on a cylinder!

So I built a workpiece that is evil (long live the emperor!) 😉

2D contour is possible, but the toolpath is then not a spiral!

So I tried it with 2D adaptive
The tool path is nicely spiral-shaped, but I can't get the operation to respect the entry and exit points for the life of me

Then I kept trying things out.
I turned the groove on the cylinder into an undercut on another shape as shown in the tooltip

But I absolutely can't get the toolpath to enter and exit outside the contour as in the toolpit.

I would be grateful for any advice on what I am doing wrong.

Hmm. Looking in our bug report system, I see that back in 2022 we added support for lead-out position for exactly this use case. I suspect this is a bug, and I've logged this as CAM-61172 for investigation
