Excessive Linking moves in 3D Pocket when rest-machining

I make somewhat-complicated 3D Pockets for moulds where I am usually using more than one tool for roughing. This is not specific to one toolpath but is a general problem. It is especially prevalent if I'm using a non-standard tool (In this instance a sloped V-bit, which was preceded by a regular flat endmill). I realise that such a program MUST be complicated given the nature of the pocket and tool being used, but I still think the toolpath could use some optimization as the linking moves are all over the place. Screenshot is an example, but as I mentioned this is a widespread problem in many of my moulds. Are there any parameters which could help clear this up a bit?
